low key nuptials

Besides the fact that People magazine has the photos, the President's daughter, Jenna Bush, got married this weekend to Henry Hager without much fanfare. Her dress, and her mother's dress, were designed by Oscar De La Renta. She wore no veil, and carried simple flowers. Even the reception tent was simply decorated. I think it's quite refreshing actually. Jenna could of chosen to have a super fancy wedding to-do at the White House, but instead chose to marry in a "normal" ceremony at the family ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Jenna's engagement ring, a beautiful diamond and sapphire platinum stunner, was set with a diamond from her husband's grandmother's ring. (I'm quite partial to this style, as my engagement ring also has sapphires and diamonds)

Jenna has written a book called Ana's Story, about a mother living with HIV. She wrote this book after working as an intern for UNICEF. Seems she has come a long way since her hard partying college days!
